The short version

A well-established brand for people who struggle most where it's loud

If restaurants, meetings, and group conversations are where hearing breaks down most, Oticon is one of the first brands we demonstrate. We fit the full lineup, so the recommendation is based on your ears and your life, not on what we happen to stock.

Why Oticon

A brand built around how the brain processes sound

Oticon is known for its BrainHearing approach, the idea that a hearing aid should work with how the brain naturally processes sound, not just amplify everything around you.

Dr. Aussem fits every major brand and verifies each fitting with Real Ear Measurement. The right brand depends on your hearing, your lifestyle, and your budget.

Heritage

Decades in the field

Oticon has built hearing technology for decades, and its platforms are among the most widely fitted and serviced anywhere. That track record means parts, support, and service are easy to find.

Philosophy

Built around the brain, not just the ear

Oticon's BrainHearing approach focuses on giving the brain access to a full, balanced sound environment rather than narrowing focus and processing aggressively. The goal is a natural-sounding scene with less listening fatigue over the course of a day.

Range

A model for most losses

The lineup runs from mild all the way to profound, including power options, so one brand can serve very different ears and lifestyles without requiring a switch to a different manufacturer as hearing needs change.

Support

Easy to live with, easy to service

Parts, domes, and repairs are readily available. Most current Oticon models are rechargeable, so there is no daily management of small batteries.

Oticon Intent hearing aids
The flagship

The Intent, up close

The Intent is Oticon's current flagship, and what we most often demonstrate for patients who struggle in noisy settings. Its sensor system reads your movement and surroundings to adapt the sound based on what you appear to be listening to.

Like every aid we fit, it is set and verified with Real Ear Measurement, so the output is matched to your ear canal rather than left at the factory default. The Intent runs on Oticon's Sirius platform, which includes the second-generation deep neural network (DNN 2.0) for a fuller, more natural sound scene with better noise suppression than earlier Oticon generations.

Day to day

Built for real days

The features people actually notice once the aids are in, plainly described. No spec sheet gymnastics.

Power

Rechargeable, up to 20 hours at a time

Full-day battery on one charge. Thirty minutes of charging adds up to 8 hours, and an optional case keeps power available for travel.

Connect

Hands-free calls and audio from your phone

Streams directly from iPhones and Android phones. Double-tap to answer calls hands-free. The Companion app handles volume and settings from your phone or Apple Watch.

Noise

Sound adapted to what you are trying to hear

The sensor system picks up on where you are looking and what is happening around you, then adjusts the sound automatically. No manual switching needed.

Fit

Compact miniRITE, verified to your ear

A compact receiver-in-canal style. Every fitting is verified with Real Ear Measurement so the sound matches your ear, not factory defaults.
